A Rewarding Career Path

It is truly rewarding to have a career that you are both good at and that you love.

As a graduate from the The Art Institute of Seattle in Photography, alumni Kathleen Jurardo feels fortunate that she knew early on of her desire to pursue photography as a career path.

"As part of my final for my corporate photography class, we were asked to showcase our skills as a portrait and lifestyle photographer. The first thing that came to mind was Rainier Scholars. I knew that my pers...onal connection to the program would help me create stronger images."

After a great deal of hard work and effort, Kathleen finished her project featuring Rainier Scholars and displayed her photos for her school community, family and friends --and staff at Rainier Scholars were there.

"It was heartwarming to witness the new cohort walk the same halls that I once did during this project and to reconnect with peers and teachers," Kathleen said."In the end, it helped me reflect and realize that there are certain things in life you'll always carry with you no matter the time or place, and to me- Rainier Scholars is one of those things."
