An investment in our future.

A child's success is the result of efforts seen and unseen by all the people who touch his or her life. The same is true of Rainier Scholars. Our work would not be possible without the ongoing support from generous individuals, businesses and foundations throughout Seattle and across the nation.

Rainier Scholars is built on a foundation of loyal donors who understand they are investing in the future. Their investment provides opportunities to students of color who often lack educational options and creates pathways to college for generations to come.

The majority of our supporters respond to the social justice focus of the mission and work of Rainier Scholars as a way of creating systemic change. Foundations champion measurable outcomes that pave the way to college graduation and community leadership. Businesses seek to fill their pipeline with top caliber employees from diverse backgrounds. Other supporters identify with our ethic of hard work, perseverance and integrity, relating the experience to their own personal life stories.

No matter the perspective, all donors appreciate that Rainier Scholars' program is comprehensive both in scope and duration. We nurture courage and confidence. We expand the view of "what's possible" and open doors of opportunity for our scholars. As each cohort of college scholars graduate, our donors see proof that their contributions change lives.

In our 2015-16 fiscal year, nearly 1,400 individuals made a gift to support the mission and work of Rainier Scholars. Businesses, organizations and foundations also provided significant financial resources to sustain and grow our program and we recognize their generosity. Our 2015 - 2016 Annual Report.
