Scholars Chosen to Join Seahawks Legion of Youth

25 Rainier Scholars are the newest members of The Legion of Youth Powered by Boeing who along with friends and family cheered the Seattle Seahawks on to victory over the Arizona Cardinals. This special group of students were selected by RS because they consistently work hard to reach their goals, persevere through tough times and stay positive in spite of challenges.

As they gathered at CenturyLink Field for the game, students were treated to concessions, Legion of Youth sweatshirts and visits from several admirers including retired Seahawks wide receiver Sidney Rice, Seahawks President Peter McLoughlin and Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and CEO Ray Conner.

We're proud to have these outstanding young leaders representing our program. Read their stories and see photos of them on game day!

Boeing's video celebrates the achievement of our students highlighting their committment to education and to building a better future for themselves and others, which makes Rainier Scholars outstanding members of the Legion of Youth.

"They're the future leaders of this country," Boeing CEO Ray Conner said as he chatted with the kids and their families."This particular program touches these kids in such a unique way because it involves seeing the Seahawks in person. It's something they might never have gotten the opportunity to do, and now they're experiencing it because of what they've accomplished."
